The event was well attended by a large number of delegates from leading companies in the metals sector including Boeing, Rolls-Royce, GKN Aerospace and Sheffield Forgemasters and provided a fascinating insight into the technology challenges and developments in advanced metals manufacturing.

We are delighted to share some significant news and announce that we are no longer known as A&S Metallurgical Resources Ltd and are instead, now simply known as Asmet.
As part of our new vision and hopes for the future, we have undergone a major rebranding exercise which has seen our corporate identity updated and modernised.
Asmet supplies aluminium foundries with our high quality, specialist aluminium master alloys including Strontium Aluminium Modifiers and Titanium Boron Aluminium grain refiners in cut rod, waffle plate, piglet and wire form.
Our aluminium master alloys provide a number of benefits including improved mechanical properties, improved metal feeding, enhanced compositional homogeneity and an improved surface finish.
Asmet has worked closely with Thomas Dudley and has been a key supplier of foundry raw materials (Pig Iron and Alloys) as well as technical support over many years.
In 2010, our new DISA line was officially unveiled as part of our ambitious plans for the future. Asmet helped us to install an inmould nodularisation process using a product that would guarantee both consistent and high levels of quality.
