Over the last 10 years, Asmet has become a leading supplier of specialised foundry products such as BarcastTM Barium Inoculants, CastronTM Strontium Inoculants, ErtalloyTM Magnesium Ferro Silicon, FoamexTM / FiltrexTM Metal Filters and NodcastTM / GreycastTM Inmould Inoculants, direct from production to customers in Asia, Turkey, the Middle East and Africa on CIF destination port basis. Robert has vast experience in international trade, and can offer a single point of contact for all stages of the order process from enquiry through to delivery.
Robert explains "To be competitive, we have to ship direct to the end user's market and we have the expertise in international shipping, trade, banking and customs to ship our product anywhere in the world. If customers are able to import and buy on a CIF basis, then they should have no hesitation in buying direct from Asmet".
Asmet's branded products are used by leading castings producers in India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan and throughout the Middle East.
To ensure product quality, Asmet works very closely with selected producers, including sub-contracted production of our specialist products to precise chemical, size and packing specifications. Before approval to our ISO 9001 system, we make initial assessment visits and take trial samples before a new producer is approved. After this, independent assay tests are performed on shipments and we regularly visit producer plants to ensure quality standards are maintained.
A good example of Asmet's close partnership involves the company's brand of FiltrexTM extruded ceramic metal filters. In 2006, Asmet's customers needed another filter supplier and after trials with several producers, the best quality product was selected. Now, Asmet is a leading filter supplier with sales of millions of units every year.
IFEX 2012 is the 8th International Exhibition on Foundry Technology, Equipment and Supplies and is being held at the same time as the 60th Indian Foundry Congress, Cast India Expo and the Asia Foundry Forum. This will be an excellent platform for Indian as well as overseas companies to showcase their state-of-the-art technologies and services and develop new business opportunities.
