Future Trend for Chinese Molybdenum Production and Consumption

China is set to be a molybdenum exporter in 2011 for the first time since 2008, but experts predict that future growth in Chinese steel consumption will outstrip domestic production.

Like many raw materials, China dominates the world market for Molybdenum, consuming up to one third of the world's production in 2010.

In common with many base metals and ferro alloys, China has levied export tariffs on molybdenum products, including ferro molybdenum since 2007.
