Asmet recognises how vital it is for our industry to invest in people and skills, and is pleased to help publicise the New Foundation Degree in Casting Technology.

What's in it for you?
This new qualification will give you the technical knowledge you will need to compete and thrive in the industry and develop and broaden your understanding of the processes and underlying principles of casting.

Complete the qualification and you may also be able to register as an Engineering Technician (EngTech) on the Engineering Council's register of Professional Engineers.

Modules of study delivered via distance learning on a part-time, flexible basis with significant work-based projects. Includes modules on Casting Processes, Casting Metallurgy as well as Methoding and Design for Casting.

The qualification is suitable for anyone looking to develop their career in the industry and is also an ideal progression for advanced apprentices. Advice is available on the entry requirements and assistance can be provided to help you gain the necessary entry qualifications.

Tor Lodge & Applecross Trust is a charity set up to support training initiatives within the UK cast metals sector.

Grants to assist with the tuition fees are available on a first come, first served basis.
