Rolls Royce is set to create hundreds of high technology jobs at the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) in South Yorkshire, UK.
The first project called Project PoWeR is for a factory covering 21,000 square metres and incorporates vessels weighing up to 140 tonnes and 23 metres high to form vital components for the next generation of nuclear power generation.
The second project is for an Advanced Blade Casting Facility, producing jet engine turbine blades capable of operating at over 1,900 degrees celsius.
The third and smallest project covering a site of 8,800 square metres will be located next to the Advanced Blade Casting Facility and may be let to a leading supplier to Rolls Royce.
As part of the investment, Rolls Royce is expected to donate £850,000 towards road improvements in the area, and once approved, Project PoWeR is expected to start production by 2013.
