Update on WTO China Ruling

China is set to appeal against a World Trade Organisation (WTO) ruling on its raw material exports.

In early July 2011, the WTO ruled that China's export restrictions on bauxite, coke, fluorspar, magnesium, manganese, silicon carbide, silicon metal, yellow phosphorous and zinc were creating world shortages and higher prices.

However, following the ruling, China reduced export quotas for coke by 17.4% for the second half of 2011.
