Alcast Wire

Application & Effect:

Alcast wire provides an effective, efficient and precisely controlled means of inoculating Ductile Iron. The precise combination of aluminium and calcium suppresses carbide formation in thin sections and improves nodule count and shape.

Biscast Wire

Application & Effect:

Biscast wire provides an effective, efficient and precisely controlled means of inoculating Ductile Iron. The combination of bismuth and cerium dramatically increases the number of nodules generated during solidification, reducing susceptibility to carbide and promoting the formation of ferrite.

Barcast Wire

Application & Effect:

Barcast wire provides an effective, efficient and precisely controlled means of inoculating grey and ductile cast iron. The elements barium, aluminium and calcium give the alloy an excellent inoculation effect over a wide range of applications.

Castron Wire

Application & Effect:

Castron wire provides an effective, efficient and precisely controlled means of inoculating Grey Cast Iron, providing excellent chill reduction in thin sections and enhancing the promotion of type 'A' graphite. Castron wire is also used to inoculate compact graphite iron in order to reduce carbide formation without promoting nodular graphite.

Inomet Wire

Recast Wire

Application & Effect:

Recast wire provides an effective, efficient and precisely controlled means of inoculating grey and ductile cast iron. Rare earth inoculation is effective at varying levels of sulphur in Grey Iron and is also used in Ductile Iron to neutralise the harmful presence of tramp elements.
