Asmet at GIFA Review

A big thank you to everyone who made our exhibition stand and Asmet red ribbon name launch event at GIFA a resounding success.

The combined trade fairs of GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST posted new records with 1,958 exhibitors and 79,000 visitors from 83 countries, and confirmed its status as the leading trade show in the cast metals sector.

Andrew Parker, Asmet’s Operations Manager, said: “It was very important for Asmet to be at GIFA to talk about our new strategy and vision for the future as we transform the way we supply metallurgical consumables across Europe.”

Special thanks to Doris Kyas from Dieckerhoff, Germany for cutting the red ribbon and also to Shirley and Nadine who looked after everybody so well all week.

Andrew added “It was fantastic that so many leading foundries and producers from all over the world came to visit us, and a special thank you to those who came to celebrate our Asmet name launch.”

Opinion was divided over whether the best beer was Sheffield bitter or the local Altbier, so Asmet plan to sample them both again in 4 years time!
