Compacted Graphite Alloy

Description:

As the emphasis moves towards stronger, lighter materials, compacted graphite cast iron (CGI) is increasingly being recommended by casting design engineers.

Compacted graphite alloy is used in the production of cast irons with compacted or vermicular graphite. The Titanium content suppresses the nodularising properties of Magnesium, permitting the stable growth of compacted graphite.

Asmet can offer a compete service to help foundries achieve the high level of metallurgical process control required for the efficient production of CGI castings.
