Ferro Phosphorous

Description:

Used as a furnace or ladle trimming addition to control Phosphorous levels in cast iron.

Also used to improves as-cast surface finish and helps prevent rusting in mild and low alloy steels, especially when combined with Copper.

Phosphorous levels are typically controlled between 0.05 and 0.10%. Higher levels (0.10 to 1.0%) can be used for specific work requiring high fluidity and up to 0.15% for some high strength low alloy (HSLA) steels for increased strength.
